Chaplaincy Skills for Schools: Information Evening

Discover the course. Meet the tutors. Explore the vision.
Could you be part of a growing movement to see a chaplain in every secondary school?
Join us for this online Information Evening and discover more about Chaplaincy Skills for Schools, Waverley Abbey College’s new training programme designed to equip people to offer a confident, compassionate Christian presence within school communities.During the evening, you’ll get a clear picture of the course and what studying with us will really look like. You’ll hear from and meet members of the teaching team, explore the course content and practicalities, and have the opportunity to ask your questions.
We’ll also share the wider vision behind Chaplaincy in Schools: why we believe chaplaincy has an increasingly important role to play in supporting young people, staff and school communities, and why we are pioneering a vision to see a chaplain in every secondary school.
This Information Evening is for those considering the course, those preparing to apply, and students already enrolled. Wherever you are in the journey, it’s an opportunity to understand the course more fully, meet the team and get ready for what’s ahead.

- How the course is structured and what will be expected of you
- Who the course is for and where the training could lead
- More about the tutors who will be teaching and supporting you
- The vision behind the growing Chaplaincy in Schools movement
- How to apply and take your next step
Whether you’re already serving in a school, exploring chaplaincy for the first time, or wondering whether God might be calling you to this work, this evening is an opportunity to explore the course, meet the people behind it and decide whether it could be your next step.
